Videos on the Droid Finds a Home

For Christmas I received an android phone from my husband which I absolutely adore. See, we have twin girls whom are five years of age and we love to record them doing funny things. It could be anything from them playing with the pots and pans to them singing nursery songs. After I recorded about ten videos I ran into a problem. I wanted to show my family as well as have somewhere to store them. Well, my problem was solved thinks to a coworker. They told me about this site that they just recently joined where you can post your android videos. When I got home I immediately went to the website that they have given me called Keek and have been in love ever since. This site answered all my prayers. I love to go at work and watch the videos that I have posted and see the comments of my family. They are also in love with the site too.

A Big Conflict

I had a very big argument with my mother today because she kept insisting that I spend too much time on You Tube. I tried to explain to my mother that YouTube is a very important part of my generational development but she would not listen to me. She kept insisting that I should go outside and play with the other children out in the sun. But my mom did not realize that nobody plays in the sun these days. Everybody stays online with their computer Rebecca talk to each other virtually. I know that it sounds very strange to argue that this is better than actual social interaction but I believe that it is. Actual social interaction is very difficult for people like me. People that have a social anxiety disorder. But, the Internet gives you a safe space to connect with others. You get to connect with them from the privacy of your own home and learned that people are actually not that scary after all. It is a very liberating experience to overcome her social anxiety one social media platform in time.

Think that the argument I just posited is actually very strong. I’d leave that I’m right and I believe that my arguments are actually supported by science as well. But my mom absolutely refuses to acknowledge that the Internet might be a good steward for my social anxiety. Instead, she keeps insisting that it is probably making everything worse and it will make the children at school think that I’m very weird. It is very insulting that my mom cares with the other children at school think of me. I do not know why she cares because she is not a student and she is just my mother. It makes me thinks that she is embarrassed that I spent so much time on You Tube and that really makes me very sad.
